Try this routine, used in boxing classes:
* Skip rope for three minutes. (A round in boxing is three minutes long.)
* Take a minute off, and do as many crunches as you can.
* Skip rope for another three minutes.
* During the next minute between rounds, do as many push-ups as you can.
* Back to skipping for three minutes
* Do crunches for another minute. Repeat.
You can alternate rounds of skipping with crunches and push-ups until you’ve completed 30 minutes or more of exercise. If you want to read the whole article visit yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com
Trick: Leg Over
- The tough part of this one is getting your arm under your leg far enough that the rope swings freely. Try jumping higher than usual.
- As the rope is coming forward, hop on your left foot.
- At the same time raise your right leg and reach your right arm as far under it as you can.
- Jump over the rope a few times on your left foot.
- Getting out: As the rope swings over your head, pull your right arm out from under your leg. The, with both arms, pull the rope over to your right side.
- Do a side swing; then bring the rope back to the front and continue with the Basic Jump. Now try the whole thing on the other foot.
