Awesome

The Jujo’s rocked Alberta’s Last Thursday event. Charlotte was a hit being the littlest girl to get in to the double dutch. Thank you to all who came out and participated. That is why we are there. The Jumpin’ Jackie O’s are not about being cool. We are not about showboating or trying to be a performance group for art or social change or any such business. We are about promoting smiles and getting the public involved in jump rope. I guess you can call us jump rope enthusiast. We are introvert excavators. We give confidence and a sense of wonderment and love to the public. The Jujo’s were formed just for the fun of it and I encourage you all to join us or start your own jump rope club and get out there. Get active. Get healthy and get involved in your local community.
Portland has been the perfect breeding ground for our batch of tomfoolery. I encourage the rest of you to find something that brings you joy and the smile a child smiles on Christmas morning that double dutch brings to us old ladies.

So get out and jump or get out there and be a fool. You will fit right in with all the rest of us.

Peace and love,

the Jujo’s

PS practice Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 PM Beech and Borthwick. Next performance July 19th at Sunday Parkways Alberta Park 11-2

Season 3, Practice 1 Therapy and no holes in our pants

Attended: Mary Cadien, Megan Bledsoe
Practice consisted of trying on jackets in the donation pile at the church, talking about therapy and personality disorders and skipping single ropes. We relived Megan’s hole in the pants and no underwear yoga story, looked for guinea pigs and paid off our Feb rent to the church. It was a fine time but we really NEED YOU to double dutch. The Jujo’s are looking for a few good men and women to come to practice and performances on a regular basis. Our third season should be rockin’ and we just need some folks to jump in and make a commitment. We should be able to get some choreography down for synchronized performance and do some real fun stuff in 2009.

Next week’s practice same time same place. Meet at Mary’s house at 6 PM or meet at the church at 6:30PM- A team meeting to follow practice. Bring some extra cash for beers and pizza, a notebook, calendar and pen and some ideas and enthusiasm.

TTFN
